Erosion, Grasslands

The impressive coastal scrubs and forests of the north-west corner of New Zealands South Island had been turned into eroding grasslands by early british settlers. While the scenery is nice, the storm and the sun are relentless at this spot and imagening what the native flora must have been like, here too, leaves the visitor in disbelieve as to how widespread the damage to New Zealands native flora had rampaged.
